IGNITE the Spark!: A Message from the Chapter President
Get ready to IGNITE! It’s more than just a theme—it’s our rallying cry for a bold year of connection, inspiration, and growth across the A/E/C industry with SMPS.
We’ll kick off the new SMPS year this September with a Member Celebration —an evening of networking, fun, and gratitude. Prospective members are encouraged to attend! Come discover the connections, resources, and opportunities SMPS Las Vegas has to offer.
When I started in the industry in 2017, one of the first things my boss encouraged me to do was join SMPS (Thank you, Jim!). I was new, didn’t know many people, and had a lot to learn. From the moment I walked into my first event, I felt a spark—that warm, welcoming energy that SMPS is known for.
As someone who’s naturally shy, that first feeling of being genuinely welcomed changed everything for me. It’s what inspired me to get involved, join the board, and show up for others. That’s why you’ll often find me at the door—saying hello, goodbye, or offering a smile. It’s my way of keeping that spark of connection going and sharing the same warm welcome that made me want to stay.
I can’t wait to welcome each of you —new faces and longtime members alike—into another exciting SMPS Las Vegas year. We have an incredible Board of Directors ready to lead with passion and purpose. Together, we’re working hard behind the scenes to bring you engaging education programs, impactful panels, valuable networking opportunities, and meaningful ways to grow both professionally and personally.
